Jason Cross and Tasmin Malcolm, instructed by ADH Solicitors, secure acquittal in duty evasion trial

Jason Cross leading Tasmin Malcolm, and instructed by Toper Hassan of ADH Solicitors, secured the acquittal of their Defendant at the end of a seven-week trial at Wood Green Crown Court.

The prosecution by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs alleged that the Defendants had fraudulently evaded the excise duty due on alcohol, and in respect of the co-Defendants also due on cigarettes. The total losses were estimated to be in excess of £900,000.

The case was based on extensive observation of the warehouse concerned prior to the arrests in August 2015.
