Tasmin Malcolm, instructed by Clement Idowu of Criminal Defence Solicitors, secures an acquittal for two offences of Sexual Assault, contrary to s.3 Sexual Offences Act 2003 at Blackfriars Crown Court.
After a false start, discharging the first jury due to a juror recognising Counsel, the re-trial concluded today, 10th September 2018. The allegations were of two sexual assaults by a colleague during the course of a Christmas party. The Defendant denied any intentional touching as alleged and maintained that any physical contact was in the course of dancing.
The jury were out for less than an hour before they indicated they had unanimously reached not guilty verdicts on both counts.
